UPO-480 adjustable louvers are the intermediate size in our range of aircraft wing louvers. They offer the most advanced options of our range of adjustable louvers such as perforation on one or both sides of the louvers, or the option to manufacture bicolor louvers, combined with our double teardrop shape to maximize the length of the louvers without penalizing their functionality. As large-format adjustable louvers, they are a perfect fit for corporate buildings, government headquarters or major public buildings.
Description for projects
UMBELCO model UPO-480 aluminum slats, with maximum resistance classification PV4 according to UNE 85-226-87 and UNE 85-227-87 standards and manufactured in continuous painted aluminum strip (COIL-COATING process), with high resistance to weathering according to salt spray test (more than 450 h in WEISS SSC 450 chamber). End ends of slats in PA 6 (nylon) of high resistance. Aluminum shafts with a minimum diameter of 12 mm and housed in an extruded aluminum support structure L-6063 with anodized or lacquered T5 treatment.
COMPONENTS
The adjustable slats overlap each other and have a tapered shape 480 mm wide and 96 mm thick, ending in polyamide 6 (nylon) end caps of the highest impact resistance that incorporate aluminum pivot shafts. The assembly is mounted on an extruded aluminum tubular frame with aluminum crescent.
VARIANTS
The slats can be horizontal, vertical or combined. The frames can be sliding, hinged or lifting.

What is UPO-480 made of?
The UPO-480 blades are aluminum, the frames are aluminum, the synchronization systems are aluminum, the control is cast iron, and the end caps are high-strength nylon and aluminum. All components are 100% recyclable at the end of their useful life.

On what type of frames can I mount this lattice?
UPO-480 are usually installed on closed perimeter frames, made of 50x50mm aluminum tubing. Optionally, it can be supplied in other tube sections, or without the part of the frame that runs parallel to the slats.
I want an access area with these adjustable slats, is it possible?
Yes. This lattice can be mounted on movable frames, such as hinged doors, sliding frames, lift-and-slide doors, or even folding systems, although it is important to take into account the dimensions of the slats when they are open.
